On June 14, 2023, the Global Harmonization Working Party Technical Committee (GHWP TC) held a regulatory exchange and openness meeting in Shenzhen. Xu Jinghe, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Medical Products Administration, as well as the Chairman of GHWP, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Xu Jinghe pointed out that GHWP is an important platform for regulatory cooperation among member countries and regions. Currently, GHWP has developed over 40 technical guidance principles, effectively promoting the enhancement of regulatory capabilities among member countries and regions. In the next step, GHWP will diligently implement the 2026 strategic plan, further intensify regulatory communication and enforcement efforts, continue to enhance regulatory capacity building, accelerate regulatory convergence, coordination, and trust, and actively contribute to global public health.

During the exchange and openness meeting, presentations were made on the GHWP 2026 strategic plan, the achievements and future prospects of GHWP TC, as well as the evaluation requirements for in vitro diagnostic reagents and medical device software. Over 300 representatives from GHWP member countries and regions attended the meeting, and the meeting was also broadcasted online to 33 member countries and regions. The participants highly appreciated the GHWP TC regulatory exchange and openness meeting, believing that it provides an excellent channel for global medical device companies and stakeholders to better understand international regulatory rules.
